Hardware 

Hardware is the tangible, material components of a computer or computer system. It includes all mechanical, electrical and electronic parts.

 Hardware examples

The motherboard.

 It is a printed circuit board on which the rest of the computer components are connected.

 

The processor.

 It performs simple arithmetic and logic operations and binary logic operations; it also controls memory access.

 

RAM memory.

It consists of a set of chips that store information, which can be quickly accessed by the processor. 

 

The storage unit.

It is the device that stores the information. 

 

HDD.

The oldest consist of one or more metal turntables, on which a magnetic head reads or writes information as the computer is used.

 

SSD drives.

 This technology makes it possible to read and write information located in different positions at the same time.

 

The graphics or video card.

This component processes data from the CPU and converts it into visual information, which can be viewed on a monitor.

 

The energy source.

It is responsible for receiving alternating electrical current and transforming it into direct current, which powers the computer's internal devices.
